When is Fumigation Required?
Fumigation is a specialized pest control method used when standard treatments are insufficient. It involves sealing a structure and introducing a gaseous pesticide that penetrates all areas.
Fumigation is Recommended For:
- Severe termite infestations (especially drywood termites)
- Wood borer infestations in timber structures
- Stored product pests in warehouses
- Export cargo requiring pest-free certification
- Bed bug infestations that haven't responded to other treatments

Sealing
The structure is sealed with gas-tight tarpaulins or by closing all openings.
Fumigation
Gas is introduced and maintained for the required exposure period (usually 24-72 hours).
Aeration
Structure is ventilated until gas levels are safe for re-entry. Clearance testing is performed.
